An Independent Gateway Directory Just Put Constellation Gate AI at #1
GateYourAI tracks ten AI security and cost-control gateways and publishes a source for every capability it marks. In its current directory, the platform sitting in the #01 slot is Constellation Gate AI, ahead of F5, Kong, Cloudflare, Portkey, Fortinet and Azure.
Who Is Doing the Ranking
GateYourAI is a research desk built around a single premise: AI security and AI cost control are collapsing into one infrastructure decision. Its framing of an "AI gate" is the control layer between an application, an employee, or an agent and the models they call. One hop, and that hop is where safety, necessity, model choice and cost all get decided.
What makes the site worth citing is the discipline. Capability marks reflect documented behaviour only. Anything the desk has not confirmed against an official source is labelled verification pending, and composite scores stay withheld until a profile is fully sourced. That is a stricter standard than most vendor comparison pages, and it cuts both ways for Constellation.
The Top Ten, In Order
Inline injection blocking, secret and PII redaction, prompt compression
Unified access to 200+ models, routing, cost governance
Enterprise policy enforcement in front of model backends
Prompt guards, PII sanitisation, semantic caching plugins
Guardrails, caching, routing, open-source gateway
Edge caching, rate and spend limits, analytics
Guardrails and caching inside a customer's own cloud
Prompt-attack protection, data-leakage controls, on-premise
Token quotas, semantic caching, backend routing
Prompt-attack protection, token policies, open source
The company it beat is not a list of startups. F5 and Fortinet are network security incumbents. Kong, Cloudflare and Azure own the API layer for large parts of the internet. Being placed above them in a sourced directory is a real signal about how Gate AI's documentation reads to an outside analyst.
Why Gate AI Landed on Top
The comparison grid tells the story better than the ranking number does. Across the six security-side capabilities GateYourAI checks first, Gate AI is the only one of the leading five platforms marked available on every row and it carries the prompt compression mark alone.

GateYourAI's summary of Gate AI: an inline gateway that sits between an agent and the model, screening every request in both directions for prompt attacks, secrets and personal data, while compressing prompts to reduce token spend.
That description matters because it is the same pitch Constellation has been making since June, arriving back through a third party. Security and cost in one hop. The desk's stated best-fit line for Gate AI is teams running coding agents that want prompt security and token reduction together, which is a narrower and more credible claim than "enterprise AI security" in the abstract.
The Honest Reading
GateYourAI publishes security, cost-optimization and overall scores only once every capability on a profile has an attached source. Right now every one of the ten platforms shows editorial assessment pending verification, Gate AI included. The #01 slot is a directory position, not a graded win.
Gate AI carries the compression mark, but exact caching, semantic caching, token budgets and cost analytics are all listed as verification pending. Rivals like Kong, Portkey and Cloudflare already have those confirmed. That is the gap to close in the next review cycle.
Agent and tool controls plus intelligent model routing are both marked limited or partially documented for Gate AI. In an agent economy, those are exactly the boxes enterprise buyers will scan for next.
None of that undercuts the headline. It sharpens it. Gate AI leads on the half of the problem it was built for, prompt security, and it has the one cost lever nobody else in the top five has documented. The remaining marks are documentation work, not product reinvention.
Why This Matters for $DAG
Ecosystem narratives usually travel inward, from the project to its holders. This one travelled outward. An analyst who does not cover crypto, does not mention Layer 0, and grades vendors purely on documented gateway capability put Constellation's product first. That is what product-led distribution looks like at the very start.
Every request Gate screens is also activity on Constellation rails, and the tamper-evident audit trail underneath it is the part competitors cannot copy with software alone. If you have been reading Part 7 of The Constellation Thesis, this is the external validation that section was waiting on.
